working with a 45 // bridgeport - chicago, il // canon 5d mkii
des was doing some video work and we were playing around with how a 45mm tilt shift lens looked on a sony fs100 video cam. i then started geeking out… the plane of focus reacts differently when you have the lens parallel to the person with a tilt vs having the sensor/film plane parallel to the person with a tilt… so i decided do a couple test frames with des. i believe this one was with the sensor plane parallel to her.. and focus seems to be a straight horizontal line.. but i should probably do a thorough test on a tripod to help me better control my focus plane and understand this.. i feel like i understood it more when i shot with a 4x5 view camera…
